Old Potrero 18th Century Style Whiskey (D)

Rye – This is 100% rye mash. The high proof of this makes the initial smell burn a little, but after that it gets sweat and very caramelly. The taste is somewhere between an earthen rye and a bready rye, but with some extra sweet thrown in. I think the sweet tastes like brown sugar, but with a little spice thrown in. If you want to get drunk, this is fine. If you want to enjoy what you’re drinking, DON’T come here. Funny enough, this was dusty when I bought it. Update: this isn’t even good in mixed drinks. I am at a loss for what to do with this particular rye, because it isn’t worth drinking.
