Scotch : Islay – The nose starts off as if you’re smelling an Irish, but it morphs into something else. It had a very oily mouth feel, indicative of its still. While it has a strong barley flavor and is an Islay, there is no peat – which is the selling point of this whisky. There is this lovely herbal taste to it that borderlines on soap, but doesn’t quite hit the terribleness that is eating something like that. It tastes like a spring day smells. It’s very pleasant and light.
Drinking Bruichladdich is always an experience, but Islay Barley is like trying Scotch for the first time, but you’ll like it.
